Southco G7 – Bi-Stable Embedded Hinges

Provide invisible, bi-stable functionality that forces hinged components to drive to one of two fixed positions 180 degrees apart.

With “flip style” ease designed specifically for small access doors and covers, the G7 allows customers to integrate reliable door positioning into small molded plastic applications in a manner that is quick, cost effective and user friendly.

Compact cartridge design allows for easy design and install.
Long life cycle of mechanism eliminates need for service or maintenance.
Customized holding torque; can be tailored for multiple hold positions.
Ability to specify stop angles.
Maximum positioning torque of 0.035 N (0.3 in-lbf).
Minimum cycle performance: 20,000 cycles within ±20% of normal torque specification.
